About Of Earth

With the anxiety of the 2024 election results filling their life, Lydia, the artist, knew the coming years would be full of retaliation by the parties seeking to silence opposition. Past experience being abused for being autistic, disabled, and queer had prepared them for the coming back hand of dominance, yet many around them were left reeling.
Lydia looked to their patron animal for wisdom for a reminder of resilience. Parallels of how humans have tried a variety of cruel means to eradicate the coyote as a pest only to have their population explode in response felt uncanny. Those that try to deny nature can pretend they hold superiority all they want, but it doesn’t invalidate the truth. All of us have a right to live as we are.
