  • Being a small business run by only two people, the shop may go under abrupt closings for management and operate on a fluid schedule.

    That said, we do not operate on US bank holidays, Halloween, and during the last two weeks of December.

  • Mx. Lydia is in charge of email and as they also must juggle many other tasks, response time won’t be immediate. We go through our email every other day during the work week (Mon-Fri).

  • Items marked as preorders will have their expected turn around time in their description.

  • We are an in-home business. Our studio which houses our office and mail room is a completely separate wing from our living quarters, but is open and thus allows our 3 senior cats to visit.

    There is a chance of pet or human hair making it into a box. However, all our supplies is stored on shelves, cleaned regularly, and an air purifier run constantly in the mail area to reduce this.

    We do burn pure resin incense and soy candles, the scent of which may gently permeate supplies. This doesn’t seem to be an issue for our fragrance-sensitive customers so far, but we’d rather be upfront and honest!

    Our soap laboratory is accessed within our studio but is a fully enclosed separate room. Pets have no access and visitors only under supervision.

  • We know quite well that some of our customers are living in households that may be hostile to divergent identities. If you’d like to receive an unbranded box, please leave a note in your order upon checkout.

  • All orders are shipped via USPS with tracking included. We use sustainable materials and try to cut down on excessive packaging. You can find out how exactly your order will be packed by looking at item descriptions!

    As we are a two-person operation, we can’t offer fast shipping like the soulless big box stores. You’re paying for humanity here- and reduced speed is standard for handmade goods!

    We ship out once to twice a week in collected batches. Email notifications with your tracking number are sent out after every drop-off. US orders tend to take 5 days once shipped, and INTL orders tend to take 1 month. Please note that a common issue USPS has is their scanning being delayed in updating- sometimes packages will show as not scanned until they have been delivered.

  • If you suspect your package may be lost or stolen, please first check with any housemates or neighbors and then contact your local USPS via phone or in-person visit. USPS is a third party and once shipped we no longer have control of the package. If you need further help, contact us and we’ll see what we can do!

    Damaged items may be covered under mail insurance- please include photo proof of both the item and the box. 

    Body items like lipbalm may melt during transit, which is not considered damage- just allow it to get to room temperature overnight before opening. Soap is semi-soft and prone to some denting during transit- also not considered actionable damage unless it is extensive.

  • We don’t normally offer returns, but will if there was a mistake on our part and the item is unopened and undamaged. Damaged items may be covered under mail insurance- please include photo proof of both the item and the box. 

    Body items like lipbalm may melt during transit, which is not considered damage- just allow it to get to room temperature overnight before opening. Soap is semi-soft and prone to some denting during transit- also not considered actionable damage unless it is extensive.

    For those who forgot to add something to their order before checking out, we try our best to catch them and combine them, but we can’t make promises.

     Please contact us ASAP if we’ve mixed up your order and we’ll fix it up right away!

  • At this time we do not take orders for customized soap.

    We have been asked if customers can order a bulk of our monster soap so they can have a year-long supply- We plan to offer this again in the future, but right now must decline due to our new soap laboratory being in the middle of set-up!

  • We’ve often received compliments on how nice our boxes smell when being opened! No, we don’t scent them deliberately.

    What you’re smelling is the permeation of the pure resin incense we smoulder every few days in the studio, particularly copal or frankincense. We burn this for spiritual reasons and to invigorate the creative energy while working.

  • Soap WILL be back! We cannot give an exact date, but are hoping to re-launch by early 2026.

    In late 2024, we moved locations and have since been using the opportunity to do an in-depth testing of our recipes, sanitation practices, and methods. We now have a fully enclosed laboratory separate from our main studio, which houses the mail and office. It is taking us time to furnish and figure out best methods for working in the new lab, but we want to take the time we need to give our customers a reliable and quality product!
